 Half Breed Brown

HalfBreed was born April 19th, 1989. She is 22 years old and originally from Jackson Mississippi. She may come from a small town, and may seem small to some standing only 5’5 but when she spits you are immediately drawn in by her powerhouse flows. HalfBreed may be young but is very mature and sure of whom she is as an artist and a person. If you sit down and talk to her you will see that she is by no means another generic female rapper, she really loves music and takes pride in what she does. When sitting down for an interview she was asked when and why she started rapping, and she very comfortably stated, “I’ve always been a rapper. I started really writing when I was only 11 and when my family was going through hard times. Since then it has been a passion of mine. I love being able to reach people on a personal level through my music.” So, as you can see just in that statement alone her passion is music. She also states that she is not very into the new mainstream rappers. But she was greatly influenced by Tupac. To HalfBreed, Tupac was a symbol and an inspiration to under-privileged people from any background that would normally be over-looked. This is the type of effect that she would like to have on the industry and the world as an artist. HalfBreed loves being on stage and gets a thrill from it but more than anything she is motivated by the feedback she receives after she performs and gets to hear how her music affected people. Being born in Jackson Mississippi, stationed in North Carolina, and living in Alhambra California she is well rounded and all of these places have contributed to her free-styling and writing her up-tempo but chill tracks. You could compare her but comparing is the last thing you'll do after seeing her come alive on the stage. Still fresh to the game her deployments overseas, being raised by a single mother, and her old soul feel, tell a story in her raps. The only advice that could be given when it comes to HalfBreed is: listen, take heed, and enjoy the lyrics written and delivered like no other female rapper in the game today.
