Johanna Melisa Jones bka Hone started writing R&B lyrics at the tender age of 13. As she got older she also found her second passion.....dancing. In December 2009 she performed at "Club Nightlife" where she performed with her cousin Dinnell. She then met soon to be producer Levelton Philpot aka "Magnolia" a local producer for Slizzard Entertainment. As they became good friends, she would go to the studio writing and recording, but working full time, less time was spent in the studio. Hone got terminated from her place of employment in August 2010 she then began recording “ISSUES. “ When“ISSUES” was first recorded, she wrote it to Eminem’s ft. Lil Wayne track “NO LOVE.”
She was passing out CDs in her neighborhood, and that’s when she met Lee Collier Aka “Yung Lee.”
He then re-recorded ISSUES on an original track. HONeEs then wrote “Resuscitation of Hip Hop,”
Her aggressiveness in her delivery, and her lyrical skills is what separates Hone from other female rap artist.
She is currently working on her own Solo CD.
