"His effort and grind has made his dream into a reality. Jay-Spaz is representative of a new vision and movement that has many questioning, WHAT IS TUNNEL VISION? This Northern California native has been creating a buzz through the web and has quickly become the center attraction with his lyrical content and “CATCHY SONGS”. Jay-Spaz, born Jamani Perry, grew up in the Bay Area and has had many influences as a kid that contributed to his love and passion for this industry. At the age of 11 he wrote his first verse in a composition notebook and then started storing them in old Nike shoe boxes in his closet. Jay-Spaz responded, “When I think about it now, it was more like poetry because I only had like 1 or 2 beats and they were all on tapes”, and then begins to laughs as he recalls it.
Jay-Spaz has come along way and continues to follow a tunnel vision to reach his goals by surpassing obstacles to reach success. This recent college graduate of Sacramento State has fought to chase his dreams while gaining a college degree in the process. Jay-Spaz responded, “Some rappers believe its not necessary to go to college, and I don’t blame them, but, I just felt like instead of complaining about going to school and trying to manage my rap career, it will only make me better and give me more content then the average rapper”.
His influences comes from many artists who all have their own particular style, Jay-Spaz then responded, “I’m influenced by many rappers in the past and present, I like how 2-Pac was so passionate and was able to balance lyrical content with edge”, and then said, “Today as an upcoming rapper, I really respect, Kanye West because he’s a man with many talents and is a trend setting rapper wit fashion and music”.

With that being said, there is only more to come from this extraordinary and talented rapper who displays his unique and different sound as, “Movie Music”, that has many feelings that all people can relate to. With his single “FAST LIFE” acquiring over 13,000 downloads and with a recent video launches, his buzz is beginning to surface and as he is gaining recognition from other local artists and blog sites, his mix tape titled, “Spaz University”, is surely going to only continue this rappers success and further his career."
